[00:00:00] Episode 2, How many times have we taken this?

[00:00:38] 2, yeah, this is 2, 2, yeah, quite a bit.

[00:00:47] We've tried a few times.

[00:00:49] Yeah, here we are again.

[00:00:51] I actually feel bad it's taking us this long.

[00:00:54] Yeah, but...

[00:00:56] I wouldn't feel too bad about it.

[00:00:58] Yeah, less than ever.

[00:01:00] There's a lot going on man.

[00:01:03] There's a lot going on.

[00:01:05] It doesn't help that you and I are in the same schedule and he's on it.

[00:01:10] I don't even know what he's on.

[00:01:12] Completely, yeah.

[00:01:14] It's easy for us when not to do it.

[00:01:20] Yeah, James just has off like every other week.

[00:01:24] I'm off for like a month right now.

[00:01:27] That's gonna be me in jail.

[00:01:29] It actually sucks.

[00:01:31] I don't like being off.

[00:01:34] I was forced to take a little extra vacation this year because I had too much.

[00:01:39] You must have got the buff of fire there though.

[00:01:41] Almost.

[00:01:43] Almost, almost.

[00:01:45] Almost.

[00:01:46] That was close.

[00:01:47] I would have went to work.

[00:01:51] Especially there.

[00:01:54] That rule for me, Nameless.

[00:01:57] Yeah.

[00:02:00] I need to get a better live for my buff gear.

[00:02:06] Alright.

[00:02:07] I'm gonna let that go for now.

[00:02:09] I'm getting in trouble if I talk about the discreteness.

[00:02:13] So here we are.

[00:02:19] How's your guys' culture up there?

[00:02:22] You guys got good culture?

[00:02:29] I think James is firehouse man.

[00:02:32] They're fire apartment.

[00:02:33] They're pretty solid.

[00:02:34] Like real solid.

[00:02:35] I mean, it varies based on your department.

[00:02:41] Like my department has, we since we're, we're a combination department,

[00:02:48] but our career staff is like, it's not huge for 25 man department.

[00:02:56] But like we're very, very close knit obviously.

[00:03:04] And it's the, the culture is like, it's very, very strong.

[00:03:11] We, a lot of our guys are on the newer, the younger side.

[00:03:17] I wouldn't even say younger and not in as an age, but time on the job.

[00:03:22] And they're very, very into it.

[00:03:26] Always going to outside training.

[00:03:31] Always wanting to train in the firehouse.

[00:03:34] My shift has three, three members that have less than three years on,

[00:03:41] on a six, six man tour.

[00:03:44] So 50% of the tour has less than three years and these guys are all about it.

[00:03:51] Like they'll train all day if they want to or if they could.

[00:03:55] And it's, it's really nice to see that it's strong like that.

[00:04:02] The, especially when it comes to the love for the job and training wise,

[00:04:09] but it does vary based on where you work.

[00:04:13] Yeah.

[00:04:14] And rich can tie it up his department.

[00:04:19] And what his culture is like there, but working with them closely.

[00:04:24] It's a, I know that theirs is pretty strong as well.

[00:04:30] Yeah.

[00:04:31] I mean, look at it.

[00:04:32] Our departments are all they're similar, but they're not the same.

[00:04:37] Right.

[00:04:38] So James's departments are a little smaller than mine.

[00:04:41] So I think you guys are at how many guys total James 25.

[00:04:46] All right.

[00:04:47] I'm not sure if it's 53, like 50, it doesn't seem like much.

[00:04:51] It doesn't seem like much, but there's a, that's a lot of dudes and one house.

[00:04:56] And there's a lot going on.

[00:04:58] We also run the ambulance too, which James's guys don't.

[00:05:01] So we're running a lot.

[00:05:03] Like I think we did 22 the other day before 6pm and like it was just nonstop all day.

[00:05:12] So we have a good culture. Like really, there's a lot of young guys who are eight up who want to learn.

[00:05:18] They're going to classes or picking the senior man's brains and we got a lot of guys on the top end too who are really into it.

[00:05:25] And like they're good, good firemen and like, you know, we don't burn like we used to in our city, but those guys,

[00:05:34] they saw a lot of work and like they're aggressive.

[00:05:39] They're real aggressive.

[00:05:41] The first fire I went to and there was a snow fire we had up here in the Washington Abbey back apartment.

[00:05:48] And we have a captain, captain, Captain Dre will call him.

[00:05:55] He basically rode the nozzleman into the fire.

[00:05:58] I could hear him the whole time driving.

[00:05:59] He's like, go, go, go, go, go get in there.

[00:06:01] And I'm smiling at the door.

[00:06:03] I'm like, dude, this is great.

[00:06:04] Well, it's not that they between those guys.

[00:06:08] I mean, our truck captains, their lights out.

[00:06:12] We have a pretty strong truck culture in our department and you know, even some of our battalion chiefs, they're on it becomes tech rescue or a truck.

[00:06:22] It's those guys are sharp.

[00:06:24] They're squared away.

[00:06:26] That's good.

[00:06:28] Dude, we got 57 firehouses and 57 different types of culture.

[00:06:33] So you got more fire.

[00:06:35] We got firemen.

[00:06:37] Yeah, you got we got 1800 roughly 1800 uniform personnel.

[00:06:42] It's it's something dude.

[00:06:44] Some days you go in, you know, I work a lot of overtime, so I'll go into some houses and I'm yes, it's like I'm in my own house and then I'll go to some houses and I'm just like, why did I choose to work today?

[00:06:56] Or why did I choose to work here today?

[00:06:58] You know, I think the change in culture here is we're definitely coming back around.

[00:07:06] I was one of the first ladder one of the first lateral classes.

[00:07:09] So you had a whole bunch of guys that obviously came here for a reason.

[00:07:13] You know, we came here because we wanted to go to fires and wanted to do this stuff.

[00:07:17] And now we've had so many lateral classes.

[00:07:19] We've gotten so many of these guys coming here that have good mindsets and good attitudes and came here for that sole reason.

[00:07:26] It's actually starting to turn around pretty good.

[00:07:28] And a lot of those first few lateral classes are starting to promote and starting to move up.

[00:07:32] And so the change is definitely there.

[00:07:36] It's coming running into I yeah, I'm running into more guys that are eager than I was before, you know, so it's good.

[00:07:45] That's that's good.

[00:07:47] Obviously, everyone's got a pretty decent mentality when it comes to going to fires just because the way that our SOPs are driven and everything like that, you know, you kind of have to.

[00:07:59] We still have our companies that, you know, try to dodge the fires or try to be third in so they don't have to so they can take a writ or whatever.

[00:08:07] But for the most part, everybody does pretty well getting after it.

[00:08:12] But culture wise, you know, the mentality and training and all that stuff.

[00:08:16] It's definitely starting to take its turn, I think, which is which is nice.

[00:08:20] I'm excited.

[00:08:22] Yeah, I think that's pretty wide encompassing of the fire service right now.

[00:08:28] Like yeah, all the way across like just got back from FDIC right and David Rhodes and Scott Thompson Thompson gave the keynote and Rhodes gave his speech to the masses and it was basically like hey,

[00:08:41] there's a war going on right now, boys.

[00:08:43] And like, yeah, you can get in or you can get out.

[00:08:45] So pick which side you want to be.

[00:08:47] That's why I brought up culture.

[00:08:49] Scott Thompson, what did David Rhodes said that I mean he said something that like resonated with me.

[00:08:55] It's revolutionaries, man.

[00:08:57] Like there's a lot going on.

[00:08:59] So you see this, the steady stream of safety message, right?

[00:09:03] And everyone saw it like, you know, you can't do that.

[00:09:05] That's not safe.

[00:09:06] You can't do this.

[00:09:07] That's not safe for it.

[00:09:09] It's so by the book and it's not fire service.

[00:09:15] It's white collar.

[00:09:17] It's the politically correct thing to say for those the cities of municipalities or whoever wants to say whatever guy wanted to push paper who got in the chief's position.

[00:09:28] It's not firemen speaking for because our jobs not safe.

[00:09:33] And we know that but safety comes in.

[00:09:37] Safety is a product of being good at your job.

[00:09:41] Like it's not a goal.

[00:09:43] It's you just are safe because you're good at your job and you know what you're doing.

[00:09:47] And Rhodes was like, hey man, it's like instead of seeing it from the departments now I'm seeing it from individual guys.

[00:09:54] Or I'm seeing it from groups and I'm seeing it pushed from the bottom and it's good.

[00:09:58] It's good for the fire service.

[00:10:00] Yeah, I go ahead.

[00:10:04] Very similar to Ramacormick speech quite a few years back and like it was a homerun and it resonated with a lot of guys.

[00:10:13] Nice.

[00:10:14] I saw a comment today on Facebook that was just quoting what David Rhodes said at FDIC and he said we have to participate to get the fire service we want.

[00:10:24] And I think that's participation right now, at least here it seems like we're on the up and up.

[00:10:31] Just across the board, you know, social media and everything.

[00:10:34] You're seeing a lot of participation from a lot of people.

[00:10:37] And I think we're slowly everyone's slowly fighting for that fire service that we all want.

[00:10:42] And I think it's pretty awesome.

[00:10:45] Yeah, I think it's something to be said for the younger group right now, the younger generation and set it just like, you know, a couple years ago, right?

[00:10:53] The older guys came in maybe like five, 10, 15 years ahead of us.

[00:10:58] And they got told like, hey kid come in here shut up.

[00:11:01] Don't say anything.

[00:11:03] You'll know when your time is to speak and just sit there and be quiet until we let you.

[00:11:08] And now like the younger generation comes in they ask why?

[00:11:11] Why are we doing that?

[00:11:14] And then they ask what can I get an opportunity right?

[00:11:18] So now these guys are asking for their opportunities and when they see if they're taking it.

[00:11:22] But the 5, 10, 15 year guy ahead of us or ahead of this generation here is like, yo, I didn't get that opportunity.

[00:11:30] So like, is it their fault that they asked and said, hey, can I get a swing at this?

[00:11:36] No, like, it's not my fault you listen to these guys and you got put in your place.

[00:11:40] And you didn't believe in yourself enough to go take your chance.

[00:11:46] But now these kids do these kids.

[00:11:49] They're sharp man.

[00:11:51] At least they'll ask why and they'll try and get out there and do something about it.

[00:11:55] And we're better off for it because I'd rather get you know, wearing early on and fail and then get better than 10 years, 15 years down the road.

[00:12:03] You're supposed to be the guy but he never took a swing out of your life.

[00:12:09] It's not good.

[00:12:11] Yeah.

[00:12:14] You know, the younger generation is they want to prove themselves now instead of just sitting back.

[00:12:26] And that's huge.

[00:12:30] And like you said, the generation that has 10, 15, 20 years on that wasn't like that.

[00:12:42] They they're personally, I hate using talking like this, but personally, I feel like they are regretting it.

[00:12:54] But I don't know if that's that's going to upset some people, but we talked about this in what the third take episode two before this.

[00:13:04] How many chances you get man?

[00:13:06] Like, you may never go to that fire again, we get that opportunity right.

[00:13:10] We just talked about the fire yesterday.

[00:13:12] I'm going to leave the fire out with the exception of we're talking about tower ladders.

[00:13:16] I've never had a prime opportunity to put a tower ladder on the ground and do a storefront attack.

[00:13:24] There was yesterday, right?

[00:13:26] 18 years floating around the fire service never had the opportunity and there it was.

[00:13:32] Who knows, I got another 18 years and never do it.

[00:13:36] That's gone.

[00:13:38] Like, you never get the same fire twice.

[00:13:42] Hope not.

[00:13:44] It's a bad day to do.

[00:13:46] But, uh, yeah, take your opportunities.

[00:13:50] Get as much as you can be fucking greedy.

[00:13:52] I want all the fires I can get.

[00:13:54] I want all the work I can get.

[00:13:56] And if we're at work and we get work, I might get as much as I can until they pull me away.

[00:14:00] They tell me come out of the building and that's when it will stop.

[00:14:06] I'm going to work my ass off because those are my experiences.

[00:14:10] Like, I'm going to be greedy about them taking ownership of it.

[00:14:14] They're mine and I want to get as much out of it as I can.

[00:14:19] I think at least here I'm seeing a lot of, uh, like you said, you got these 20 plus year guys that

[00:14:29] didn't have the upbringing that we had or that the guy's coming on now or having.

[00:14:33] And you're seeing a lot of, at least here we're seeing a lot of those 20 plus year guys start reverting back.

[00:14:39] Um, you know, and getting more involved because of these, these newer guys coming in and they're super involved

[00:14:45] and they want to learn and they want to do a lot.

[00:14:47] And then you got these 20 plus year guys that are like, well, I want to do that too.

[00:14:51] You know, I want to learn that.

[00:14:53] We didn't know that back then or whatever.

[00:14:55] Um, and they're just, they're chomping away at those opportunities, which I think is awesome.

[00:15:03] So, yeah.

[00:15:05] The battle for the middle is pretty crazy right now.

[00:15:07] Yeah.

[00:15:09] It's like two sides.

[00:15:11] The battle for the middle is where it's at.

[00:15:13] Like you got to start winning people one by one.

[00:15:15] Yeah.

[00:15:17] I mean, my, my lieutenant the other day, it's got 32 years on the job.

[00:15:21] You know, it was like eight o'clock in the morning.

[00:15:23] We'd finished checkoffs.

[00:15:25] We did house chores, ate breakfast the whole thing.

[00:15:27] And he came up to me and was like, Hey, what are we training on today?

[00:15:29] And I was like, I mean, I haven't even got there yet, but you know, I'll come up with something here in a second.

[00:15:35] Like it was just cool.

[00:15:37] You know, um, him coming to me, you know, uh, I thought about that the stuff, little stuff like that is what, what excites me to get to work.

[00:15:45] You know, so.

[00:15:47] But when guys are giving a shit, it turns into a fun place.

[00:15:51] Firehouse that you get many like, what are we doing?

[00:15:53] All right.

[00:15:55] Like I'm gonna throw something at you.

[00:15:57] Do your best. See what you got and we'll work on it afterwards.

[00:15:59] Like you just keep testing each other and that's like the, that little friendly competition going bro.

[00:16:05] That's a good time.

[00:16:07] Yeah.

[00:16:09] Yeah, that's a good time.

[00:16:11] Put the truck in a better spot, throw this ladder, stretch that line faster.

[00:16:15] Like that's when you start getting real, real straight.

[00:16:19] Yeah. It's a, if you turn anything into a competition at the firehouse, it's, it's all with everybody.

[00:16:25] Fire, fireman or we're all competitive by nature.

[00:16:31] Yeah.

[00:16:33] Cause we're gonna, we're gonna train and we're gonna make it a competition and then we're gonna play pickleball and it's going to be a competition.

[00:16:37] So either way.

[00:16:39] Yep.

[00:16:41] I'm gonna try and win and if just disclaimer, if we're ever going to a fire together with a word together on the same rig or we're going and there's other rigs going up and I see you on scene.

[00:16:53] You don't know it, but there's a competition.

[00:16:57] Like there's a competition. Something's happening in my brain right now.

[00:16:59] Like, all right, how can I beat this?

[00:17:01] You're waiting for a nozzle, waiting for that nozzle to be put down so you can jump right in.

[00:17:07] Maybe, maybe.

[00:17:09] That's a good truck word these days.

[00:17:11] Yeah.

[00:17:13] You got to make friends sometimes too.

[00:17:15] So help the nozzle guy along.

[00:17:17] But uh, yeah, how fast can I get in the door?

[00:17:21] How quick can I get to the backside through a ladder?

[00:17:23] It's all good shit.

[00:17:25] But there's always that competition.

[00:17:27] That's like right now, you know, the piece of equipment I ride, we're very rarely are we gonna be first to anything.

[00:17:35] Um, so we show up, you know, sometimes we're right on top of each other when we show up or sometimes we got a long, long haul to get there.

[00:17:41] But as soon as we pull up, I'm thinking like, can I be the first one masked up in the door?

[00:17:47] Can I be the first one to find the fire?

[00:17:49] Can I give that radio transmission? Hey, I found it.

[00:17:51] Like can I do that or, you know, so it's turn everything into a competition, especially with these good companies we run with.

[00:17:58] Oh yeah, it's over.

[00:18:00] Are you messing up with your gloves on?

[00:18:02] Yeah, every time.

[00:18:04] James?

[00:18:06] Yep.

[00:18:07] Yeah?

[00:18:08] Yeah.

[00:18:10] I don't, so it's starting to turn into something in my job now.

[00:18:14] Like it was, you know, that just started being a thing right back, especially up in the Northeast.

[00:18:19] We were kind of taking our time for a while, but now it's starting to catch on.

[00:18:24] Can you tell me any other way to beat somebody to somewhere and have them like so taken aback to how you got there so fast than it is by messing up with your gloves on?

[00:18:36] Like, so fast.

[00:18:40] The only people that have ever...

[00:18:42] Just having a quick mask up time in general, just like when you're watching, you're masking up next to somebody and you're done.

[00:18:49] You're just like, alright.

[00:18:52] Yeah.

[00:18:54] I think I'm sitting right now somewhere around like the 14th to 15th second mark and it's like, I love it.

[00:19:00] Because they're like, dude come on again.

[00:19:02] I'm like, can we go?

[00:19:04] Like let's get in there.

[00:19:05] The only people that have ever beat me is the people that mask up in the rig.

[00:19:10] Like, not getting beat on the front porch.

[00:19:14] If you show up and you don't have your face be sawing, sorry.

[00:19:17] Not happening.

[00:19:20] Like the other day, well this was a few months ago.

[00:19:23] I like, masked up...

[00:19:25] I had probably one of my best mask ups ever.

[00:19:27] Got it on GoPro the whole thing.

[00:19:29] And my lieutenant was like after the fire, he's like, how do you do that so fast?

[00:19:34] And I was like, you want me to show you?

[00:19:35] He's like, yeah.

[00:19:36] So I broke it down for him and everything.

[00:19:38] And he's like, I'm not to try that.

[00:19:39] And I was like, yeah.

[00:19:41] Dude, I won't forget starting to do it at work and why are you doing that?

[00:19:46] And I'm like, because it's going to be sweet, trust me.

[00:19:49] I couldn't verbalize why I was doing it.

[00:19:52] You're just going to be able to go to work way faster.

[00:19:55] And I'm like, typically, don't you want to see this or see that or take your time

[00:19:59] and get a blow and relax?

[00:20:02] No, not really.

[00:20:04] And you fucking smash a couple of people and be like, whoa, wait a second, hold on.

[00:20:08] How do we do this?

[00:20:09] How do I get on board?

[00:20:12] That's like, have you guys seen that little drill that's floating around?

[00:20:16] Where they're putting just a broken nozzle just in the middle of the bay floor

[00:20:21] and they're taking everybody out there and having a mask up

[00:20:23] and seeing who can get to the nozzle first.

[00:20:25] I haven't seen that.

[00:20:27] Yeah, it was floating around on Instagram like last week

[00:20:30] and they were just, yeah, all of them were masking up in the bay.

[00:20:34] They had a nozzle sitting in the floor and whoever got to it first won.

[00:20:37] Again, turned everything into a competition, but we're doing nothing

[00:20:40] but better than ourselves.

[00:20:42] That's great. I know what I'm bringing out next tour.

[00:20:44] That I'm back to work.

[00:20:46] Yeah, when do I go back? Tuesday?

[00:20:49] I'm back Tuesday. It's going to be fun.

[00:20:51] Yeah.

[00:20:53] The thing that bothers me though, like, so New Jersey, right?

[00:20:56] We're a Jones and Bart Eulett curriculum state.

[00:21:01] Like we can't teach at the fire academy, right?

[00:21:04] Because like those kids aren't going to pass their JPRs.

[00:21:07] So they're going to go out like instead of setting them up from the get go

[00:21:10] and say like, hey, this is how you're going to save time.

[00:21:14] You're going to shave seconds off and like,

[00:21:16] and the end of the things and end all be like times are going to be here, right?

[00:21:20] Like, yeah, we're firemen, but times that we're fighting against.

[00:21:23] So let me teach you how to get it back.

[00:21:26] I can't do that right now.

[00:21:28] Like I'm kind of handcuffed by our curriculum and it's,

[00:21:31] Justin McWilliams is doing a lot right now when it comes to like ifs to

[00:21:36] and all that hokey bullshit you're seeing in some of the textbooks now.

[00:21:40] We got to take that back like for real, like that somewhere where the fire service has to focus

[00:21:45] and be like, go, I see your safety messages, but I'm going to raise you aggressive firefighting

[00:21:51] like for people who are going to benefit on the actual fire ground

[00:21:56] instead of this litigious society that we're living in.

[00:21:59] Yeah, that's a there was some stuff floating around.

[00:22:07] I do not remember who was doing it.

[00:22:10] They were they were sending emails and stuff to Jones and Bartlett and ifs

[00:22:15] about possibly getting on the panel to make some changes and things like that.

[00:22:19] And they were asking for like votes and all this stuff.

[00:22:21] I don't remember who it was, but it is definitely something we need to do.

[00:22:25] Yeah, Justin just posted that the other day.

[00:22:28] Yeah, he sent them an email.

[00:22:30] Yeah, I saw somebody like him on on that that committee would be huge,

[00:22:38] especially when it comes to search tactics.

[00:22:42] Yeah, that's what like back home when I taught back home.

[00:22:48] We would hey, we're going to teach you the book way so you can pass your state checkoffs.

[00:22:55] And then we're going to teach you the real way, you know, so we're going to spend a couple hours on the book way

[00:23:00] and then we're going to spend the rest of the day on the real way.

[00:23:02] You know, dude, we just did today.

[00:23:07] We just did it today.

[00:23:08] We went over it today.

[00:23:09] You're not right Mayday today, right?

[00:23:11] And like, oh, you got to call your your lunar.

[00:23:14] Yeah.

[00:23:16] First of all, these guys have been in the fire service for like a hot cup of coffee.

[00:23:21] They're going to remember location unit name air assignment resources.

[00:23:25] And it's the worst day of their life.

[00:23:27] You kidding me?

[00:23:28] No, like, but just sat at FDIC and listen to the Bazal Ibrahim go about it, right?

[00:23:34] It's like that shit's dumb.

[00:23:36] Let's go with who what where man, like make it easy and like fire service loves acronyms

[00:23:43] but like, holy crap dude, take it back a minute.

[00:23:45] Like let's make it so you can remember the shit and like the worst day of your life when your your BP is at 190.

[00:23:54] You want to talk about like good classes if you can get into them and you can get close to those guys.

[00:23:59] Bazal Ibrahim's Rick class is fantastic.

[00:24:02] Just as lecture I've sat in the four hour and the one and a half hour and Indy.

[00:24:07] Exceptional and Jason Bresler from the FDNY and leadership under five.

[00:24:12] And leadership under fire.

[00:24:14] He did a class on the NIOSH five and how your body like how we're not accurately capturing a lot of one of duty death information and like how they're kind of skewed.

[00:24:26] Same thing like that dude him and his whole cohort, they wrote a white paper that they submitted to NIOSH because NIOSH is like, how can we improve?

[00:24:35] NIOSH never called him back.

[00:24:37] Never even sent an email and like they got some sharp, sharp guys but you want to learn about your body and learn about like improving yourself.

[00:24:45] Go sit on those guys.

[00:24:47] That's some next level shit.

[00:24:50] You're sitting there in your in Jason's class and Bazal sitting behind you and Danny Dwyer's to your right.

[00:24:56] It's like we might be onto something these guys know a thing or two and they're sitting here trying to learn about it.

[00:25:02] Yeah, that says it all right there.

[00:25:05] Did you did you catch Scott's keynote?

[00:25:11] Yeah, he didn't.

[00:25:13] I was there for I was there for Rhodes and Scott's there was so our Academy sent a bunch of guys which was really cool right like they move it forward that way.

[00:25:22] It was awesome.

[00:25:23] And like you saw a couple guys look around back yo did he really just say that out loud.

[00:25:29] Are we sitting like the biggest conference there ever is and like a wide breath of people right junior guys senior guys 60 year members of the fire service to like one year members.

[00:25:40] And here he is like pounding the jump for like, let's get this back on track and do it the right way.

[00:25:45] Yeah, but I guess when you get a smoke diver in there.

[00:25:49] They're gonna do it right.

[00:25:51] I was driving, driving, driving home listening to it and I was just like goosebumps the whole way I was like this is this is fucking spot on.

[00:26:01] I was

[00:26:03] And it's an exceptional experience.

[00:26:05] The first time I ever went and I've been to a bunch of little conferences and don't get me wrong.

[00:26:09] I love little conferences too but at the I see was something else.

[00:26:14] It's it's a long week though.

[00:26:16] I'll tell you that much.

[00:26:17] Yeah.

[00:26:18] It's a long week.

[00:26:20] But there's some time make it up there.

[00:26:22] I'm definitely going.

[00:26:23] I'm going next year.

[00:26:24] Are you going next year?

[00:26:25] I'm going to go.

[00:26:26] I'm going next year.

[00:26:28] So I couldn't I couldn't swing it this year.

[00:26:30] You guys know I was I was in Texas, but yeah, next year definitely.

[00:26:35] Yeah, I already got it okayed by the boss.

[00:26:38] I'm going next year.

[00:26:39] So there you go.

[00:26:41] Sweet.

[00:26:42] Yeah, I don't know if five days is enough out there.

[00:26:44] If you're going to do like training and then take everything in.

[00:26:49] I know it's five days or six days, however long it is, it's not enough.

[00:26:53] Yeah, you don't get to do it all.

[00:26:54] You don't get to see it all like you don't get the touch base with everyone that you're trying to touch base with their pick brains.

[00:27:00] It's it's a lot of information and it's a lot of stuff going on at one shot.

[00:27:04] But what a cool experience.

[00:27:06] Yeah, but how's it?

[00:27:11] You guys got any cool traditions up there in the house or department?

[00:27:19] Hmm, try and think we got a lot of dumb traditions.

[00:27:32] They're funny though.

[00:27:34] But like what I got to know now like like in the middle of the night, you know, because we ride the ambulance and you're running all night.

[00:27:44] In the middle of the night, if you stop and you get donuts, bring it back to the station.

[00:27:49] You call hot nuts on the PA.

[00:27:51] And if you don't come down to get a donut, then you got to wear it.

[00:27:55] You know, if we'll go peg you with donuts while you're laying in bed, stuff like that.

[00:28:00] So hot nuts, we got to plate it or wear it.

[00:28:03] It doesn't matter what you're eating, especially summertime when we get the icy pops and stuff, you better have it under a plate or you better have a plate under it or it's getting smacked out of your hand.

[00:28:14] Yeah, just dumb tradition.

[00:28:17] We don't have anything fun like that.

[00:28:20] It doesn't matter what firehouse you go to. They'll do that there.

[00:28:25] There's plenty of shenanigans, but not like that.

[00:28:27] Yeah, yeah, no.

[00:28:29] And like overtime, if you work overtime, you have to bring ice cream or like some sort of like dessert, sweet, whatever.

[00:28:38] Yeah, we have an unwritten rule.

[00:28:41] The person on overtime buys dinner.

[00:28:44] Oh really?

[00:28:46] But it's all for six guys.

[00:28:48] Oh, damn dude.

[00:28:50] So our overtime...

[00:28:52] We always cook, so it's...

[00:28:54] That's true too.

[00:28:56] Our guy destroys like 25 bucks in a kitty.

[00:28:59] No, it's not...

[00:29:01] I mean, for a guy on overtime, it's not much to buy dinner for six guys if you're going shopping.

[00:29:11] Yeah, if you bought dinner for my house, you'd be spending a lot of money.

[00:29:15] Yeah, yeah, it's not like we got 15 guys.

[00:29:19] Yeah.

[00:29:21] We bought nine.

[00:29:23] We're like 50, 60, 75 bucks for dinner.

[00:29:28] Wow.

[00:29:29] You guys eat all three meals together or just dinner?

[00:29:32] Yeah, for the most part actually.

[00:29:34] All three meals, yeah.

[00:29:36] At the table.

[00:29:40] That's one of the most important times.

[00:29:43] Yeah.

[00:29:45] So we eat all three meals together and if it's your day to cook, you gotta supply all three meals.

[00:29:50] So you gotta come over breakfast, something for lunch and then dinner.

[00:29:54] Oh wow.

[00:29:56] Not every house is like that, but for the most part.

[00:29:59] Every house is like that.

[00:30:00] Some houses they'll just do breakfast and dinner or some houses will just do dinner,

[00:30:03] but for the most part it's...

[00:30:05] If you're up to cook, you gotta bring in all three meals.

[00:30:08] And for lunch, nothing crazy like sandwich meat and some bread or something,

[00:30:12] but yeah, so we definitely get all three meals together, which is nice.

[00:30:21] Yeah, we don't rotate cooks too often in our firehouse.

[00:30:25] If you're good at cooking, that's where you're at.

[00:30:28] Yeah, if we did they be in fucking cereal for dinner one night.

[00:30:32] 100%.

[00:30:33] Dude, listen, I love the guys I work with, but some of them eat like children,

[00:30:38] straight children.

[00:30:40] No vegetables, it's gotta be like chicken nuggets or like...

[00:30:44] Yes, french fries.

[00:30:46] Chicken and cheese quesadillas.

[00:30:48] Yeah.

[00:30:49] One guy doesn't like beans, one guy...

[00:30:53] We don't know.

[00:30:54] We don't let you, if you're bad cook, you're still cooking.

[00:30:57] We're just gonna talk a whole bunch of shit until you get good at it.

[00:31:01] You know?

[00:31:02] Like we had one guy...

[00:31:03] That's how it worked.

[00:31:04] Yeah, no.

[00:31:05] I mean, eventually they'll figure it out or they're just gonna be like,

[00:31:07] hey guys, we're gonna order pizza tonight.

[00:31:09] It's like, alright dude, whatever.

[00:31:13] We had one guy that could not cook to save his life.

[00:31:16] He's gone now, but dude, we rode that dude so hard.

[00:31:19] Every time he'd cook, we were like...

[00:31:21] It was awful too.

[00:31:22] One day he made corned beef and cabbage and we were like, dude, you can't...

[00:31:26] Some people, sure, but you can't do this for fucking ten dudes.

[00:31:30] They're not gonna have it.

[00:31:31] And sure as shit, after that, he was like,

[00:31:33] we're just gonna do pizza or do a breakfast with that.

[00:31:37] Yeah, that's fine.

[00:31:40] I ride our cook a lot.

[00:31:43] He's actually pretty good at...

[00:31:46] He does a pretty good job with our dinners,

[00:31:48] but I don't give him the satisfaction.

[00:31:50] Yeah.

[00:31:51] Sorry, JP for listening to this.

[00:31:54] No, you should see his plates.

[00:31:57] This guy is a machine like mounds of food.

[00:32:03] Or he'll be like, ah, I'm doing lettuce wraps tonight.

[00:32:06] No bread, no buns.

[00:32:07] But if you look at this lettuce wrap, it is literally like he took

[00:32:12] five pounds of meat and put it in his hands with one little press.

[00:32:16] And he's just like...

[00:32:20] Yeah, I have a Snapchat compilation of all of his plates.

[00:32:25] Yeah, I get some of the Snapchats.

[00:32:27] When he retires, I'm gonna put a nice montage together when he retires.

[00:32:32] I'll be gone before him, but I'll come back

[00:32:36] and I'll put a little video up for him so everybody can laugh.

[00:32:40] Yeah.

[00:32:44] Yeah, man.

[00:32:45] The firehouse meals are pretty good.

[00:32:47] I'll say we do a prime rib on Christmas though.

[00:32:49] So like the chief actually buys it for the men.

[00:32:51] He brings it in.

[00:32:52] It's a good time.

[00:32:54] That's it.

[00:32:55] Like Thanksgiving.

[00:32:57] Well, last Christmas our chief got us...

[00:33:01] I don't remember what he got us, but like Thanksgiving and stuff,

[00:33:04] we do...

[00:33:05] The city will actually buy meals for every firehouse

[00:33:07] and then we'll just like buy sides and stuff.

[00:33:09] They'll buy the turkey or whatever.

[00:33:12] Yeah, our union is pretty good.

[00:33:15] Our union, we set like holidays and the union pays for the meals

[00:33:19] for the guys working.

[00:33:20] Yeah, that's awesome.

[00:33:21] It's usually just dinner, but it's like Christmas, Easter,

[00:33:25] all the big holidays.

[00:33:27] Yeah.

[00:33:28] So it's nice, especially if you're stuck working.

[00:33:32] You guys get families up there on holidays?

[00:33:37] Not typically now.

[00:33:38] Yeah, not ours.

[00:33:40] Just because we're running so much,

[00:33:41] like in your family is kind of like hanging out

[00:33:44] or you're out sticking your fingers

[00:33:46] and somebody's like bleeding wound.

[00:33:49] They're gone for like two hours.

[00:33:52] Sorry, babe.

[00:33:53] Gotta go pick up a drunk.

[00:33:56] We started trying to get the families involved.

[00:34:00] It was nice, you know?

[00:34:02] Get everybody up there and hang out and stuff as much as we can,

[00:34:07] which is cool.

[00:34:08] Everybody's cool, you know, because we're busy

[00:34:10] and I don't have a problem.

[00:34:13] I make a run.

[00:34:14] I don't have a problem with them making sure my girls good

[00:34:17] and everything like that.

[00:34:19] Yeah, it's cool.

[00:34:20] Trying to get the families more involved

[00:34:22] and stuff like that.

[00:34:23] Meet everybody.

[00:34:25] Yeah, I mean we hang out outside of work

[00:34:27] or like we also have events and stuff

[00:34:29] where we get the families together.

[00:34:30] It's just, it's kind of tough,

[00:34:31] especially in our current setting

[00:34:33] because our kitchen's not that big

[00:34:36] and our firehouse is old, man.

[00:34:39] Yeah.

[00:34:40] It's tight just on a normal day.

[00:34:42] So if you packed in 13 families at that point.

[00:34:47] Yeah, it's a little rough.

[00:34:48] Yeah.

[00:34:49] Maybe in a new building, but we'll see.

[00:34:55] What else is going to be sweet?

[00:34:59] Did they really start breaking ground?

[00:35:04] They were doing infrastructure work, right?

[00:35:08] I think they're pouring concrete still.

[00:35:11] All right.

[00:35:12] It's moving along pretty fast.

[00:35:15] It's moving along quite fast.

[00:35:16] We got eight bays across.

[00:35:18] Something like that.

[00:35:20] Nice.

[00:35:21] All of our equipment should be inside for the first time.

[00:35:23] You're going to get the bi-fold doors?

[00:35:28] I think that's the plan.

[00:35:30] Nice.

[00:35:31] I think that's the plan.

[00:35:32] They're nice.

[00:35:33] That's cool.

[00:35:34] Dude, it's going to be a crazy time for us, right?

[00:35:35] We just got a brand new truck

[00:35:36] that just got delivered last week

[00:35:39] and our engine's not too old.

[00:35:43] Get a new firehouse.

[00:35:45] Things are good for us, right?

[00:35:47] It's a good time to be an Asri Park fireman.

[00:35:50] Catching a lot of work right now.

[00:35:52] Yeah, you are.

[00:35:53] Yeah, you guys are.

[00:35:55] Have you seen it recently?

[00:35:56] I know you know where the hiding spot is for it.

[00:35:58] I know where it's hiding because I drove past the other day

[00:36:01] and I'm like, wait a minute, did it double take

[00:36:03] and I'm like, do I turn around?

[00:36:04] Oh, shit.

[00:36:05] I don't have the keys.

[00:36:07] But yeah, I think that thing is sweet.

[00:36:11] I'm hoping it will work on Tuesday when I go.

[00:36:15] But I talked to the king though.

[00:36:16] I talked to Balfaero the other day.

[00:36:18] He's like, bro, you want a 75 foot aeroscope?

[00:36:21] Not a 95 foot.

[00:36:22] I'm like, well, we got 95.

[00:36:24] He's like, no, no, too much, too much.

[00:36:27] 75 is where it's at.

[00:36:29] It's like, well, it's here.

[00:36:30] So I think we're going to stick with that one.

[00:36:32] I'm like, we still have the 75 foot too.

[00:36:35] But that guy's awesome.

[00:36:37] Do you ever get a chance to meet and talk to him?

[00:36:40] 93 years old.

[00:36:41] He's sharper than anyone that's sitting here talking right now.

[00:36:45] Yeah.

[00:36:46] And a straight legend.

[00:36:50] You ever read his book?

[00:36:53] No, I did not.

[00:36:54] All the proceeds go to Joey D.

[00:36:58] But his book's pretty much some of the stories about back

[00:37:02] in the 70s and the big house.

[00:37:04] I love that.

[00:37:06] I love reading about the 70s.

[00:37:08] Yeah.

[00:37:09] Going to the backyard finding a gorilla.

[00:37:11] They got an actual gorilla.

[00:37:13] Like a real, a real.

[00:37:15] Living, breathing gorilla.

[00:37:17] Or how we procured a tower ladder instead of getting a

[00:37:23] Taylor like he was supposed to.

[00:37:26] Killer.

[00:37:29] But that's great.

[00:37:30] So who you guys been talking to about getting out here?

[00:37:32] Because I talked to a couple of guys at FDIC and

[00:37:34] I think there's some interest.

[00:37:37] Yeah, we've got the actually was talking to Kevin O'Toole

[00:37:44] today.

[00:37:46] He works in Delaware.

[00:37:48] He he's he's ready to come on.

[00:37:51] So when we might, we might even be able to get him on

[00:37:57] very soon.

[00:37:58] So sweet deal.

[00:38:00] He's a definite.

[00:38:02] What's his name?

[00:38:03] Mike Dozier from the company officer.

[00:38:07] Yeah, he's got a good perspective.

[00:38:09] Yeah.

[00:38:10] Horry County.

[00:38:11] Yeah, Horry County.

[00:38:12] Yeah.

[00:38:13] I like I like what he posts.

[00:38:16] But you had you had a couple who would you speak to

[00:38:20] and FDIC?

[00:38:21] So I bumped into Clay McGee while I was out there.

[00:38:24] Oh yeah.

[00:38:25] Yeah.

[00:38:26] We I took the truck company essentials class.

[00:38:29] That Champo used to run at Sam Hittle took over killer class

[00:38:33] just for the record.

[00:38:34] So if you go next year, take that.

[00:38:36] But like bunch of heavy hitters and Andrew Pristach is there

[00:38:41] with his doors, which dude, his doors are unbelievable.

[00:38:46] Like yeah, forced laundry doors are kind of hard to do

[00:38:49] and have it be realistic.

[00:38:51] His should a laugh at you if you don't do it right.

[00:38:54] But yeah, I know.

[00:38:55] Like it functions and acts like a real door.

[00:38:57] But he stopped by to BS with Clay stop by to BS with Andrew.

[00:39:01] And I think Sam.

[00:39:03] We started BS and he was like, when you guys do another episode.

[00:39:06] That's like, well, funny story about that clay.

[00:39:09] We've only tried like six times.

[00:39:12] And I'm like, it's just we're working through the technological

[00:39:15] difficulties.

[00:39:16] We never thought it was going to be this hard.

[00:39:18] But I was like, you want to come on?

[00:39:20] He's like, yeah, come on.

[00:39:22] So BS with him.

[00:39:24] He said that he might be in and then David Mellon from Kansas.

[00:39:30] Yeah.

[00:39:31] That was a good networking event after a trading.

[00:39:36] We'll call it that.

[00:39:39] Networking.

[00:39:40] Yes.

[00:39:41] Yeah.

[00:39:42] What a great dude.

[00:39:43] He was cracking me up.

[00:39:45] But I ran to a couple of friends of ours out there,

[00:39:48] Mickey Farrell and Anthony Rowett.

[00:39:51] So there's a couple of guys, but I couldn't believe it.

[00:39:53] Clay was like, yeah, when are you doing another episode?

[00:39:55] I'm like, wow, people actually listen to us.

[00:39:57] The first one.

[00:39:58] Yeah.

[00:39:59] You watch the first one.

[00:40:00] Wow.

[00:40:01] This is incredible.

[00:40:02] Anthony wants to come on.

[00:40:04] It's a piece of Anthony.

[00:40:06] Yeah.

[00:40:07] You got to make him admit he's from Jersey though.

[00:40:10] You got to make Anthony if you're listening.

[00:40:13] You got to tell everybody about you.

[00:40:15] I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean,

[00:40:17] I mean, I mean, I mean,

[00:40:19] if you're listening, you got to tell everybody you're from New Jersey

[00:40:23] and not Alabama.

[00:40:25] Anthony saw it too bad.

[00:40:29] Yeah.

[00:40:30] He's coming up.

[00:40:32] Yeah.

[00:40:34] Yep.

[00:40:35] June 1st or June 2nd.

[00:40:38] Right.

[00:40:39] First and second I think.

[00:40:41] June 1st and 2nd.

[00:40:43] Yeah.

[00:40:44] He'll be in New Jersey.

[00:40:45] Him, Mickey and I think, well.

[00:40:48] Oh, yeah.

[00:40:49] I'm definitely going to try to go to that.

[00:40:53] Should be good.

[00:40:55] Do you ever sit in one of his classes before?

[00:40:57] Either of you?

[00:40:58] Moe.

[00:40:59] Yeah.

[00:41:00] No.

[00:41:01] I've just watched everything that's online with him.

[00:41:06] He's an absolute sweetheart, but fucking balls out fire.

[00:41:10] Nice guy.

[00:41:14] Yeah.

[00:41:15] Everybody I've talked to said he's an amazing chief.

[00:41:23] I couldn't tell you about that.

[00:41:24] Great guy to work for.

[00:41:25] Like awesome dude.

[00:41:26] And dude, you got Clyde coming up.

[00:41:29] Yeah.

[00:41:30] Yep.

[00:41:31] Clyde's legit.

[00:41:32] This Thursday he is a complete gentleman.

[00:41:38] Like great guy.

[00:41:41] Like unbelievable guy.

[00:41:44] And crazy some great stories dude.

[00:41:47] Like it talks about Rodney.

[00:41:49] But that's they don't make him like that man.

[00:41:55] They don't make him like that guy or Moe.

[00:41:57] I think that's why they get along so well.

[00:41:59] Those guys are cut from a different co-op.

[00:42:01] Like good salt through the earth people and they burn.

[00:42:06] I wish I could go down to Houston for like a foreign exchange

[00:42:10] student for a little bit.

[00:42:11] Those guys get after that should be, that should be a thing

[00:42:15] for an exchange fireman.

[00:42:19] This, this would be a blue collar fireman, blue collar

[00:42:22] fireman initiative.

[00:42:24] The firefighter exchange program.

[00:42:26] Yes.

[00:42:27] Right down right now.

[00:42:32] Half-armen will travel.

[00:42:34] Yeah.

[00:42:36] That insurance policy.

[00:42:38] Who needs insurance?

[00:42:42] Speaking of what you do, look at her.

[00:42:47] Sign a waiver.

[00:42:49] Yeah.

[00:42:50] Yeah.

[00:42:51] No, Clyde's coming on this Thursday.

[00:42:53] It's going to be great.

[00:42:55] That's dude.

[00:42:56] I can't wait.

[00:42:57] I wish I was in a firehouse so I could sit there with the guys

[00:42:59] and they could chime in, but I'm not unfortunately.

[00:43:03] He's going to be, he's going to be doing commanding the

[00:43:08] Mayday class, which I haven't looked the less when we went

[00:43:15] to PA.

[00:43:17] Didn't he just talk about it?

[00:43:19] Yeah.

[00:43:21] But the, I wanted him to do that class because I,

[00:43:24] that class was excellent.

[00:43:27] The one that we sat through, but I spoke to him the other day

[00:43:31] and he's going to do commanding the Mayday, which I'm sure is

[00:43:34] going to be just as good.

[00:43:37] Absolutely.

[00:43:39] Yeah.

[00:43:40] I'm very excited for this.

[00:43:45] So if this episode comes out before, before Thursday, anybody

[00:43:51] that's listening can, if they want to tune in on Thursday for

[00:43:56] for Clyde Gordon for his class, you can go right to

[00:44:01] app.bluecollarfiremaid.com and sign up.

[00:44:06] So Clyde's a home run.

[00:44:13] Yeah.

[00:44:14] I think it's just the amount of people that you have access

[00:44:17] to right now and you get to talk to, it's just, it's awesome.

[00:44:21] Tons.

[00:44:22] It is really fun.

[00:44:24] Yeah.

[00:44:26] It's definitely one of the amazing things about social media,

[00:44:31] just networking with, I would never, I would never expect to talk

[00:44:39] to Clyde Gordon on the phone easily.

[00:44:44] Yeah.

[00:44:45] And like, maybe we talked before.

[00:44:47] He was just like, here's my number.

[00:44:49] He gave me a call and I was like, really?

[00:44:53] Okay.

[00:44:57] He just handed out to everyone.

[00:44:58] Be honest with you.

[00:44:59] It's awesome.

[00:45:00] Yeah.

[00:45:01] I mean, I called him and we were on the phone for an hour

[00:45:04] and I was just like, this guy is great.

[00:45:07] Yeah.

[00:45:11] You definitely have the networking going.

[00:45:15] Yeah.

[00:45:18] See, this didn't exist 15 years ago.

[00:45:20] That's why some guys are all a little upset.

[00:45:23] Yeah.

[00:45:24] Seriously though.

[00:45:25] I think about it like, you know, they say the fire service,

[00:45:27] the internet or social media ruins a fire service.

[00:45:30] Not really.

[00:45:31] Like, you think about how much further ahead this,

[00:45:34] the fire services in the past 10 years because it social media.

[00:45:41] Like all those guys are pushing change like, look,

[00:45:44] you're going with true ID hose and well-pressured nozzles

[00:45:48] or just any of the whole like national fire service.

[00:45:54] How these guys talk back and forth and what facilitated

[00:45:57] that social media.

[00:46:00] There may or may not go rate of information exchange.

[00:46:05] Yeah.

[00:46:06] It's the benefits hugely outweigh the points, but there may

[00:46:15] or may not be an article currently being written about that.

[00:46:20] Sweet.

[00:46:23] You can't see me winking, but I'm winking on camera.

[00:46:27] Man, you can't write.

[00:46:29] No, definitely not.

[00:46:31] But I'm trying.

[00:46:37] That's all right.

[00:46:38] None of us can podcast, so.

[00:46:40] Yeah.

[00:46:41] Or technology anything.

[00:46:43] Yeah, I definitely don't technology.

[00:46:45] That's due to the lights are doing it again.

[00:46:47] Now they're off.

[00:46:52] No, now they're back on.

[00:46:57] Got a disco folks.

[00:47:02] All right.

[00:47:03] Well, we've been going for 45 minutes now.

[00:47:08] I think that's good for an episode.

[00:47:11] Yeah.

[00:47:12] So the ones going forward, we got.

[00:47:15] We got guests ready to come on.

[00:47:18] So let's see if we can get one recorded in a couple days.

[00:47:22] Yeah, technologies straight.

[00:47:26] Make sure this one uploads all the way.

[00:47:28] This was the first time we've gotten through 45 minutes

[00:47:30] without a camera going out, which is great.

[00:47:34] It's kind of upset.

[00:47:35] I didn't get to sit in the couch this time.

[00:47:38] Casting couch.

[00:47:39] That's the PCF casting couch.

[00:47:43] Can't wait to sit on that thing.

[00:47:46] Yeah, it's not that comfortable.

[00:47:48] This is a September.

[00:47:50] This was like found in the garbage.

[00:47:53] Yeah, we got to get no up to Jersey.

[00:47:58] September.

[00:47:59] Get them up for the dinner.

[00:48:02] Get my Jersey accent going dude.

[00:48:05] Yeah, you come and hang out.

[00:48:07] Our plan and step first Thursday after Labor Day.

[00:48:09] Got our cigar dinner at work.

[00:48:12] Huge event blue collar fireman meat up.

[00:48:15] Yeah, we always get get a whole crew going to the event.

[00:48:22] And I'd be sweet.

[00:48:24] The guys took a tax at the Reds.

[00:48:26] They always come from Indy and love those dudes.

[00:48:32] We have a good time.

[00:48:34] Yeah, that'd be sweet.

[00:48:37] You don't really smoke that much anymore,

[00:48:39] but I'm still looking forward to it.

[00:48:41] Yeah, that's a good time.

[00:48:46] And you go to the local pub afterwards.

[00:48:49] Yep.

[00:48:50] Stay away from the back people to pick up trucks.

[00:48:54] Preferred route of travel.

[00:48:58] Yeah.

[00:48:59] But now I'm excited that we got this one done.

[00:49:03] So yeah, it's good.

[00:49:05] Yep.

[00:49:06] Now we have a great as usual.

[00:49:10] No, dude.

[00:49:11] I'm trying to be like you.

[00:49:13] Is that an accent hat?

[00:49:15] So this is that they have those rope hats now.

[00:49:19] I really dig those rope hats.

[00:49:22] Oh, this is a local hat right here.

[00:49:27] We got somebody on the job that does hats and stuff.

[00:49:31] So really?

[00:49:33] Yeah, they do good work.

[00:49:36] Yeah.

[00:49:37] Just bought that red.

[00:49:38] Get some more hats.

[00:49:39] Make firehouses great again.

[00:49:41] Oh, you bought that?

[00:49:43] Yeah, 100% bought that.

[00:49:45] 100% bought it.

[00:49:46] Nice.

[00:49:47] That's great.

[00:49:48] Someone's going to be real upset about it,

[00:49:49] but it's just how it is.

[00:49:51] I can't wait for it to come in.

[00:49:55] That's great.

[00:49:56] So.

[00:49:57] All right.

[00:50:00] We'll wrap it up here.

[00:50:02] I hope there are a lot of fires and James,

[00:50:04] I hope you get to watch a bunch while you're on vacation.

[00:50:07] Yeah.

[00:50:08] Enjoy your vacation.

[00:50:10] Yeah.

[00:50:11] Not in the firehouse until middle of May,

[00:50:14] but I'm going out has Matt Tech in early May.

[00:50:18] So I'm back to work, but not, not in the firehouse.

[00:50:21] Yeah.

[00:50:22] Yeah.

[00:50:23] I know.

[00:50:24] I know.

[00:50:25] You can make fun.

[00:50:26] Sorry, I run an ambulance.

[00:50:28] I want it.

[00:50:29] I want it.

[00:50:30] I want to get it.

[00:50:31] I brought in, not only do I have Hasbro Tech,

[00:50:33] I also run an ambulance.

[00:50:35] Big double L right there.

[00:50:38] We need.

[00:50:40] But I can't win them all.

[00:50:42] Yeah.

[00:50:43] Can't win them all.

[00:50:44] No.

[00:50:45] No.

[00:50:46] I hope I go to a fire tonight so I can text you guys tomorrow.

[00:50:49] Well, I hope I go to a fire tomorrow so I can text you guys

[00:50:52] tomorrow.

[00:50:53] You probably will.

[00:50:55] So.

[00:50:56] We'll see.

[00:50:57] That's the most likely, most likely event.

[00:51:00] All right, boys.

[00:51:01] All right.

[00:51:02] This is good.

[00:51:03] Yep.

[00:51:04] Go crush it.

[00:51:05] Be fireman.

[00:51:06] Check in the next one.
